You are always welcome to visit us in-house. If you will be needing assistance with your research, please make an appointment before your expected visit so that our staff can make sure we have set aside some time to assist you.

Hours

The Local History and Genealogy staff reside at the Snow Hill Branch. Our genealogy collection (located in the Worcester Room) is available anytime during the normal Snow Hill Branch hours. However, the Local History and Genealogy staff are not there during all hours being opened.

These hours are subject to change based on holiday's, and other events. Please visit our closings and holidays page to view any changes to the hours. 

Donations

The Local History and Genealogy staff use donations to help ensure we have the best upkeep to our collections. If you would like to help us out by sending a donation, we would greatly appreciate it.

Research Fees

Simple genealogy questions that take less than an hour to answer are free of charge.

If you would like more in-depth research help requiring the full attention of our staff regarding Worcester County, Md genealogy, then there will be a $5.00 per hour fee up to two additional hours. Other fees include $0.25 per photocopied page plus shipping and handling for mail requests. 

There is no fee for visiting the Snow Hill Branch and conducting your own genealogical research! Our staff will be more than willing to answer any quick and easy questions for the duration of the time you wish to remain in the branch.
