INTERVIEWER:  What is your full name (unintelligible)?

MILDRED:  Mildred (unintelligible) Riley.

INTERVIEWER:  Uh, when were you born?

MILDRED:  (unintelligible)

INTERVIEWER:  Where were you born?

MILDRED:  Newark.

INTERVIEWER:  All right.  (Unintelligible)

MILDRED:  (unintelligible)

INTERVIEWER:  Did you have any brothers and sisters?

MILDRED:  No.

INTERVIEWER:  (unintelligible)

MILDRED:  (unintelligible)

INTERVIEWER:  Uh, what kind of toys did you play with when you were a young child?

MILDRED:  (unintelligible)

INTERVIEWER:  Uh, what kind of games did you (unintelligible)?

MILDRED:  (unintelligible)

INTERVIEWER:  Ok…Um, what did you do for entertainment (unintelligible)?

MILDRED:  (unintelligible) sometimes, we would (unintelligible).

INTERVIEWER:  Um, what did you (unintelligible)?

INTERVIEWER:  All right.  Um, do you remember getting your first car?

MILDRED:  (unintelligible)

INTERVIEWER:  All right.  Um, where did you and your family get your groceries?

MILDRED:  In the town of Newark.

INTERVIEWER:  Um, how many (unintelligible)?

MILDRED:  (unintelligible)

INTERVIEWER:  Um, do you remember anything about fires?

MILDRED:  (unintelligible)

INTERVIEWER:  Were there any (unintelligible)?

MILDRED:  (unintelligible) barbershop (unintelligible) Berlin and Snow Hill (unintelligible) waters at the line (unintelligible).

INTERVIEWER:  Uh, where did you go to school?

MILDRED:  In Newark and Snow Hill.

INTERVIEWER:  Uh, do you remember what building (unintelligible) buildings (unintelligible)?

MILDRED:  Yes.  (Unintelligible) Fire Company, now.

INTERVIEWER:  Oh.

MILDRED:  (unintelligible) I started school (unintelligible) sixth grade (unintelligible) Snow Hill.  At that time, the county didn’t have (unintelligible).

INTERVIEWER:  Where did you go to church?

MILDRED:  (unintelligible)

INTERVIEWER:  (unintelligible)

MILDRED:  Not where it is at the present (unintelligible) it was built (unintelligible) 1910.

INTERVIEWER:  (unintelligible)

MILDRED:  No.  (Unintelligible) where our cemetery is now.  (Unintelligible)

INTERVIEWER:  Um, what did your family do on Sunday afternoons?

MILDRED:  Well, the family (unintelligible) go to church on Sunday (unintelligible).
