This collection consists of a flyer explaining to prospective voters who they should vote for in the 1808 Presidential Election.
To the People of Maryland is an anti-Federalist flyer aimed at influencing public opinion in the 1808 Presidential Election between Democratic-Republican James Madison and Federalist Charles C. Pinckney. Among the reasons the author encouraged supporting Madison was due to Federalist economic mismanagement and over-taxation, and the Democratic-Republicans support of policies friendly to farmers and frontiersmen.
