Snow Hill, Maryland was founded in 1686, and became a port of entry in 1694. Following the division of Somerset County, the city became the county seat of the new Worcester County in 1742. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, a series of fires devastated Snow Hill, but the town was rebuilt, and over 80% of the city is registered as a historic district.
This collection documents appraisals of real estate owned by local residents, and lists the dog licenses issued by the city during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Due to the collection consisting of a single item, the sole series is Series I: Logbooks.
