The Herbert Bounds Papers document an assortment of information. Included are genealogical notes on the Jackson family, notes on the history of the Ledger-Enterprise, newspaper clippings with miscellaneous information regarding Pocomoke City, and a National Guard appointment for 1928 to a S. James Schoolfield.
Herbert Holland Bounds (1908-1980) was an interior designer who lived in Pocomoke City, Maryland. He was an active member to the Worcester County Historical Society and worked on the restoration of the Costen House in Pocomoke City. He is buried in the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pocomoke City.
This collection has a broad collection of information about individuals and corporations in the Pocomoke City area from 1920-1950. There are brief genealogical notes on the Jackson family, brief notes on the history of the Ledger-Enterprise, a Pocomoke City newspaper, and important dedications in Pocomoke City area.
