Q: Why read diverse books?
A: They provide a mirror, allowing us to see our life and experiences reflected in a story. They also serve as a window, bringing visibility to cultures different from our own.
Q: What do we mean by diversity?
A: We are using the definition created by We Need Diverse Books: "We recognize all diverse experiences, including (but not limited to) LGBTQIA, Native, people of color, gender diversity, people with disabilities, and ethnic, cultural, and religious minorities.
